Ivory說"99.44% pure"......

一向都有不少人關心Ivory這個肥皂品牌。目前應該同時有兩個Ivory配方存在。根據Wiki：
The Ivory soap bar (classic) had contained: sodium tallowate, sodium cocoate or sodium palm kernelate, water, sodium chloride, sodium silicate, magnesium sulfate, and fragrance. The soap bar had a determined pH value: 9.5.

New varieties of Ivory soap contain altered ingredients, such as in Simply Ivory (or "simplement ivory"): sodium tallowate and/or sodium palmate, water, sodium cocoate or sodium palm kernelate, glycerin, sodium chloride, fragrance, one or more of the following: coconut acid, palm kernel acid, tallow acid or palm acid, and tetrasodium EDTA.

Ivory Classic的包裝都說"99.44% pure"，所以多數人都認為Ivory是好東西，並用得相安無事，但Google一下"ivory soap" allergy這樣的一詞，妳會發現其實好多人都對Ivory過敏；有些人對它的氣味過敏，聞到Ivory的氣味，輕則感覺不適，重則發疹，也有人用後發疹，甚至也有人從小用到大，到了40歲才開始對它過敏。

兩個配方之間有微少的分別，但這一點並不是重點。就"99.44% pure"這一詞，有位好奇網友直接詢問Ivory的製造商P&G，並得到這樣的回應：“Ivory Soap is made of both vegetable oils and animal fats. Two different kinds of vegetable oils are used in Ivory - coconut oil and palm kernel oil. We add a preservative, less than ½ of 1% of magnesium sulfate and sodium silicate, to keep the bar as white as its name."意思就是說Ivory原料包括了植物油和動物脂肪，兩種植物油為椰子油和棕櫚油，再添加防腐劑，和少於0.5%的硫酸鎂和矽酸鈉使肥皂顯得潔白。

對植物油的明細就說的清楚，但對動物脂肪就有一點含糊並沒有詳細的解說；動物脂肪（Tallow，而動物脂肪鈉鹽就是Sodium tallowate）其實就是提煉自豬，牛，羊，馬等動物的內臟和體內脂肪的脂肪產品。然而“99.44% pure”的意思就是Ivory至少還含有0.56%與肥皂製造工藝無相關的添加物。

99.44%確實是很純，而Ivory的純度比有機肥皂和天然肥皂的純度還要高，但只需0.56%的添加物，加上經常性和長期使用便有可能導致過敏，甚至濕疹。所以提醒妳一下，護膚品和其它個人護理產品中所含的添加物不止0.56%那麼低，尤其已患有濕疹人士需要更謹慎和注意。
